Something Blue: An Original Painting Commissioned for a wedding
This painting was commissioned by the bride-to-be for her fiancé, as a wedding gift to themselves. They're a couple who sail all over the world, and the painting serves both as something blue for their marriage, as well as a promise to settle down somewhere and have a stable home-base to hang it up in. It's a promise to always be there for one another throughout all their globe galavanting and adventuring.
Inspiration for this art commission peace
The painting was inspired by a picture taken of the couple on their boat, and it also has loads of personal hidden trinkets masked in the sails, waves, and shadows. Like little inside jokes hidden in plain sight. There's a hidden trumpet fish, a deflating alien-faced balloon, a sextant, and a compass hidden in this painting. All of which I don't know the hidden meaning of, but I love the challenge of hiding personal messages in my paintings.

I recently commissioned a painting from Laura titled “Something Blue,” and I am absolutely delighted with the result. Laura’s artistry and attention to detail are exceptional. The piece captures a serene nautical essence with a sophisticated balance of color, texture, and composition. Her use of blues evokes both depth and tranquility, drawing the viewer into a calm maritime atmosphere.
Throughout the process, Laura demonstrated professionalism and a clear dedication to understanding and realizing my vision. The finished work exceeds my expectations and serves as an elegant focal point in my collection. I would wholeheartedly recommend Laura to anyone seeking a commissioned piece of fine art that combines technical mastery with emotional resonance.
