Beautiful healthy boundary inspiring artwork for sale: the story behind it
Yep, I was inspired to make this piece after quitting my job at an art shop (ironically) on the spot. I could not stand the politics and the antics of my colleagues anymore. So I slowly bought all my favourite materials with my worker's discount and then left, respectfully. I did say I am no longer staying at a place where I am not appreciated. But that's it. It's so powerful to just be done, and walk away. It's not worth fighting for, and it's definitely not worth fighting over.
Intention
I hope this artwork inspires you to follow your inner guidance and stand up when you know deep down in your heart that you don't belong somewhere. This is not to shirk all responsibility (I had worked there for almost a year, and had countless conversations to try and find solutions). This is a call to listen to your intuition. To trust yourself to handle whatever comes your way when you go into the unknown, but know in your heart that it's for the best.
Message
I've encountered this scary unknown place many times in my life. After moving countries 7 times as a child. After getting fired (that one time), or quitting (like this time, and now after my first breakup too. And each time, I am learning to be more comfortable being myself, and building confidence that I can handle being misunderstood and rejected.
