Cool trippy art
This Octopus Art piece was scratched into a black board using a tattoo needle. It's an aesthetic and trippy work of art, because when you turn it on its side it's got the optical illusion of being a lady. I like hiding hidden gems like this in all my artwork.
Inspiration
What inspired this trippy art idea was not, contrary to popular belief, psychedelics. I am just fascinated by how nature repeats and mimics itself in all areas of life. Yes, this art has low-key Ursula vibes. But maybe there's something to that. There's this book called Other Minds, about how octopuses are the closest thing we have on earth to being able to study alien life. Because they're one of the most intelligent life forms that developed on Earth, in the most different environment in the dark and under pressure.
Yet we share similarities in terms of our abilities to use empathy, logic and reasoning.
Let's connect
I like making art that makes us stop to think about how fantastical it is that we even get to be alive in our weird, wonderful world.
